One of my favorite ways of worshiping, singing and dancing to God is declaring that He is KING. If you think about where He is now is seated on his throne as Holy and Sovereign Majesty.
“The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake! The Lord is great in Zion; He is exalted over all the peoples. Let them praise your great and awesome name! Holy is he!” Psalm 99.1
Yes, he came as a Lamb and Servant and this reminds us every day, to die to our flesh and follow his path. On the other hand, I believe there is a calling and a blessing to worship him as KING. It declares his Power and Majesty and when we worship him this way, we receive his royal robe over us, which enables us to be kings on Earth.
“To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1.6
“Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. ” Revelation 4.4.
From Psalm 135.18 we understand that we become similar to the one whom we adore and trust.
“Those who make them become like them, so do all who trust in them.” On the coming days, most part of the world will be gazing at a baby “Jesus”, in the arms of an idolized mother or even dressed as an old man who brings gifts. Today I want to bring to light the need to behold the KING OF KINGS, the CONQUERING RIDER, FAITHFUL AND TRUE, WHO JUDGES AND MAKES WAR IN RIGHTEOUSNESS. This way we receive the mindset of kings who reign over the Earth through words and attitudes inspired by Him, words and attitudes that have AUTHORITY to transform the world, beginning with our private lives and following to the world around us.
On Revelation 19.13 we read that His eyes are like flames of fire. He sees us with much love. How do we see others?
In His mouth there is a sharp sword (Rev. 19.15). How is the sword in our mouths? Have we used His Word wisely?
On His head there are many crowns (Ap. 19.12). He crowns us as kings to reign with authority, seated with him, conquering principalities and powers and afterwards leaving our crowns before Him with humility, giving the glory to Him alone.
The Biblical Feasts are ways to gaze at different aspects of God. In this time of Chanukah, the True Feast of Lights, we can clean and rededicate our temple, our understanding, renewing it. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12.2 Let us get rid of the paganism and humanismthat have infiltrated in the Jewish and Christian minds and ride with Him making justice, as true Maccabees, biblical Warriors of this generation!
