PRAYER GUIDE FOR ISRAEL

The Church as Ruth

As intercessors, it is very important that we know how to pray according to God’s will and not our own. God’s will is revealed in His Word, so we must declare it with authority, as sons and daughters – priests of the Most High King who enter the Holy of Holies through the blood of the Lamb.

As intercessors we confess the sins of Israel, ask God for forgiveness and declare the promises, the truths of His Word about the People and Nation of Israel, with whom He has an irrevocable covenant.

Exodus 4:22

‘Then you are to tell Pharaoh: ‘Adonai says, “Isra’el is my firstborn son. ‘

Because Israel is the firstborn people, and nation, when Israel aligns itself with the eternal purposes, blessings flow and overflow to the other nations!

The Church has been walking in Replacement Theology for more than 2000 years, understanding that the Church has replaced Israel. When the Church awakens to the reality of Romans 11, that she is actually grafted into the olive tree (Israel) and that Israel’s blindness to the Messiah is temporary, the Church understands that she has a calling to be like Ruth.

Ruth left her people and her gods to accompany Naomi back to Israel. Naomi was wounded and bitter, just like Israel today, after so many wars and persecutions. It is time for the Church to rise up to truly love and serve Israel as Ruth did, leaving the lies of the Roman Church behind and understanding its Hebrew roots.

Israel, the Church, and the Intercession of Nehemiah

Israel is still fighting its War of Independence. As we sing in our national anthem: “Our Hope has not yet passed… To be a free people in our land…”

Israel has been fighting since 1948 its War of Independence, like Nehemiah, in the past, we fight to rebuild our country, the land of our forefathers. We struggle to take care of our borders and also our internal security. We fight to bring back the Jews who are still scattered in the diaspora, in exile (in the captivity of the nations).

We also fight like Nehemiah, to rebuild the walls of the soul of our people, who today are grieving, weak and lost, without the Spirit of prophecy, who is Yeshua Himself.

‘but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Isra’el. ‘
Matthew 10:6

Nehemiah’s attitudes as an intercessor:

• Recognizes the devastating situation
• He recognizes that sin has led them to this situation
• Pray and fast on the basis of promises and covenants
• Confess the sin of our fathers
• He understands that sin resulted in the diaspora (dispersion of the people to the Nations)
• He understands that repentance is the return to the Father and also to the Land of Israel.

Nehemiah 1:1-11

The words of Nechemyah the son of Hakhalyah:

It was in the month of Kislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the capital, that Hanani, one of my kinsmen, came out of Y’hudah with some men; and I asked them about the remnant of Judeans who had escaped the exile, and about Yerushalayim. They answered me, “The remnant of the exile left there in the province are in great distress and are held in contempt, the wall of Yerushalayim is in ruins, and its gates have been completely burned up.”

On hearing this answer, I sat down and wept; I mourned for several days, fasting and praying before the God of heaven. I said, “Please, Adonai! God of heaven! You great and fearsome God, who keeps his covenant and extends grace to those who love him and observe his mitzvot! Let your ear now be attentive and your eyes be open, so that you will listen to the prayer of your servant, which I am praying before you these days, day and night, for the people of Isra’el your servants — even as I confess the sins of the people of Isra’el that we have committed against you. Yes, I and my father’s house have sinned. We have deeply offended you. We haven’t observed the mitzvot, laws or rulings you ordered your servant Moshe. Remember, please, the word you gave through your servant Moshe, ‘If you break faith, I will scatter you among the peoples; but if you return to me, observe my mitzvot and obey them, then, even if your scattered ones are in the most distant part of heaven, nevertheless, I will collect them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen for bearing my name.’ Now these are your servants, your people, whom you have redeemed by your great power and strong hand. Adonai, please, let your ear now be attentive to the prayer of your servant and to the prayer of your servants who take joy in fearing your name: please let your servant succeed today and win this man’s compassion” — for I was the king’s personal attendant.

Prayer

Lord, as (Israel) or (the “Ruth” Church, who loves and helps Naomi in her time of pain),

Confession

In Yeshua’s name, we ask forgiveness for the sins of idolatry, religiosity, abortion, pride, fornication, sodomy, lie, unbelief, not keeping the Sabbath or the Sabbath of the land,… among others. (At this time, let the Spirit guide you and delve into these issues that grieve the heart of God)

We cry out for Your mercy that is renewed every morning and pray for:

Government

We call for your direction to our rulers in the midst of the “The Lion’s Roar” War (US + ISRAEL) against the evil and terrorist regime in Iran.

We pray based on Zechariah 9:13:

‘For I have bent Y’hudah as my bow and made Efrayim its arrow. I will rouse your sons, Tziyon, and make you like a warrior’s sword against your sons, Greece.”’

May our rulers be biblical Zionist warriors who have their focus on God who reigns in Zion and who rise up against the spirit of Greece, that is, the spirit of this world, the humanism, so present both in Israel and in the nations. We know that humanism is centered in man, while the children of Zion are centered on God, who has chosen Zion for his dwelling place.

Father, we thank You for the courage of David, which You also have put in our Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

1 Samuel 17:45

‘David answered the P’lishti, “You’re coming at me with a sword, a spear and a javelin. But I’m coming at you in the name of Adonai-Tzva’ot, the God of the armies of Isra’el, whom you have challenged. ‘

We commend you for the life and leadership of U.S. President Donald Trump, for positioning himself to bring freedom to the people of Iran, through the destruction of the evil and terrorist regime of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that has been active in Iran for more than 40 years. This same regime has declared death to Israel and the U.S. in addition to its facilities in which it has been building the atomic bomb.

We know that the same spirit of Amalek that attacked our people in the past, attacked us through the Nazis in World War II and today acts through the Islamic religion. We have two very important biblical passages to declare in this spiritual warfare against the spirit of Amalek today:

Exodus 17:16

‘and said, “Because their hand was against the throne of Yah, Adonai will fight ‘Amalek generation after generation.”

Deut. 25.17-19

‘“Remember what ‘Amalek did to you on the road as you were coming out of Egypt, how he met you by the road, attacked those in the rear, those who were exhausted and straggling behind when you were tired and weary. He did not fear God. Therefore, when Adonai your God has given you rest from all your surrounding enemies in the land Adonai your God is giving you as your inheritance to possess, you are to blot out all memory of ‘Amalek from under heaven. Don’t forget!

IDF – Israel Defense Forces

We pray for protection to our soldiers who are entering southern Lebanon by land. May they move like the Bride in the Machanaim dance, described in Song of Solomon 6:13. Machanaim means “two camps”, or “two armies” and yes, we count on His army, His camp of angels moving and guiding our IDF in this Operation.

Psalm 35:1-6

Adonai, oppose those who oppose me; fight against those who fight against me. Grasp your shield and protective gear, and rise to my defense. Brandish spear and battle-axe against my pursuers; let me hear you say, “I am your salvation.” May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to confusion; may those who are plotting harm for me be repulsed and put to shame. May they be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of Adonai to drive them on. May their way be dark and slippery, with the angel of Adonai to pursue them.

Internal Security

“In the last two years, there has been a dramatic increase in the scope of terrorist attacks in Judea and Samaria.”

It is important to call the region known as the West Bank – Judea and Samaria. This is the name that God gives to this region, where many biblical events took place:

• Judean Desert – Ministry of John the Baptist and Temptation of Yeshua
• Bethlechem – Birth of Yeshua
• Hebron — burial place of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their wives. Later, David established his kingdom there.
• Shiloh — Resting place of the Tabernacle for 369 years (Eli and Samuel)
• Shchem — Joseph’s burial place on a piece of land purchased by Jacob.
• Bethel—the Traditional Site of Jacob’s Dream

These regions today, despite being within the Nation of Israel, are under the control of the Palestinian Authority and it is important to point out that we as Jews and Israeli citizens cannot enter these places where our patriarchs lived and so many other biblical stories took place. For security reasons we are not allowed to enter these places.

Isaiah 60:18,21

‘Violence will no longer be heard in your land, desolation or destruction within your borders; instead, you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.’
‘All your people will be tzaddikim; they will inherit the land forever; they will be the branch I planted, my handiwork, in which I take pride.’

People of Israel

Lord, confort our people, rebuild the walls of our souls.

Isaiah 40:1-2

‘“Comfort and keep comforting my people,” says your God. “Tell Yerushalayim to take heart; proclaim to her that she has completed her time of service, that her guilt has been paid off, that she has received at the hand of Adonai double for all her sins.”’

Reveal to Your people Your Fatherly love that has never abandoned us but has corrected us so that we are not handed over to the enemy.

Proverbs 3:11-12

‘My son, don’t despise Adonai’s discipline or resent his reproof; for Adonai corrects those he loves like a father who delights in his son.’

Body of Messiah in Israel

Father, pour out more hunger and thirst for Your Word together with revelation, power, and boldness of Your Spirit upon believers in Yeshua in Israel.

Acts 4:31

‘While they were still praying, the place where they were gathered was shaken. They were all filled with the Ruach HaKodesh, and they spoke God’s message with boldness.’

Aliyah

There are still about 7 million Jews in the U.S.

Beloved God, we pray that in the face of anti-Semitic protests in American and European universities, you will awaken young Jews to return to Eretz Israel.

Ezekiel 20:41

‘I will accept you with your sweet aroma when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you were scattered; and through you I will manifest my holiness in the sight of the nations.’

Abortion

Father, once again we ask you to forgive us for the number of abortions that have already been committed in Israel and that has already exceeded the number of children killed in the Holocaust. Lord, continue to use the Pro-Life organizations in Israel as an oasis in the lives of mothers who find themselves in despair, desiring abortions. We declare life in Israel, in Yeshua’s name.

Proverbs 24:11-12

‘Yes, rescue those being dragged off to death — won’t you save those about to be killed? If you say, “We knew nothing about it,” won’t he who weighs hearts discern it? Yes, he who guards you will know it and repay each one as his deeds deserve.’

Secular Jews in Tel Aviv (New Age and LGBT followers)

We continue to cry out for mercy for the city of Tel Aviv, for repentance, and for more workers and evangelists according to Your heart, in Yeshua’s name.

Acts 8:13

‘Moreover, Shim‘on (the sorcerer) himself came to believe; and after being immersed, he attached himself closely to Philip; and he was amazed as he saw the miraculous signs and great works of power that kept taking place.’

Arabs in Israel

May the Lord bring healing from rejection in the hearts of our Arab brothers so that they know their identity in Messiah Yeshua and are able to provoke jealousy in our people, so that they seek you.

Romans 11:11

‘“In that case, I say, isn’t it that they have stumbled with the result that they have permanently fallen away?” Heaven forbid! Quite the contrary, it is by means of their stumbling that the deliverance has come to the Gentiles, in order to provoke them to jealousy. ‘

Gratitude

Father, thank You for Your infinite love and grace toward Israel, Your firstborn son, who will soon recognize Your only begotten Son.
