Purim 2024

The month of March was full of struggles and victories!

Read some of what Yeshua has ministered to us this month and agree with us in prayer. The prayer of a righteous man is worth much if it is made according with the scriptures. The agreement between Israel and the Nations in one spirit will do great deeds on earth!

WOMEN LIKE HADASSAH

Earlier in the month we were able to attend the Bat Zion (Daughter of Zion) Conference, which brought together more than 450 women believers in Yeshua in Netanya, to pray, worship and share together what God has done in Israel.

Our prayer is that God will continue to strengthen this army of women to be healed and be an instrument in the healing of the nation.

Pray:

– That the women of this nation may assume their role as Hadassah (Esther), women who know their identity in God, who know true submission which is weightless, which brings forth life and honor.

– Arab and Bedouin women, repressed in their rights, inserted in a regime of polygamy (even if this is illegal in Israel today, it is present in Bedouin villages).

– For Orthodox Jewish women who live in a context of mourning for the Temple that no longer exists. Pray that like “Miriam of Magdala,” who went to the tomb and was visited by angels, they too may be visited and discover that their Messiah has already come, that they are today the Temple of the Spirit, and that Yeshua LIVES! HalleluYAH!

– Pray for young Israeli women who go to serve in the army and in a context of debauchery, have sexual relations outside of marriage, having their souls wounded and torn. In addition, they get pregnant and the Army, pays for up to two abortions per young woman, without their parents knowing.

– Pray for secular Jewish women who have served in the Army and due to other wounds in life, have become stiffened and brutalized women.

In the same way, we pray that men will be true “Mordechais”, God-fearing men, who do not prostrate themselves before “Hamans” and who know in God, to place Esther in her position as Queen!God is perfect in everything He has made. Let there be restoration!

PURIM AND ALIYAH

Another very important aspect brought up by the Book of Esther is the urgency of Aliyah.

By the time of Esther, the Jewish people had (around 100 years before) been released to return from Babylon to Zion. King Cyrus was the man used by God, through a decree in 538 B.C., to call the people back to their land after 70 years of exile. We can read more about this in the books of Nehemiah and Ezra.

Although this decree took place, not all the Jews returned. Many preferred to remain in the diaspora, perhaps because of their convenience, financial situation…

It was then that in Persia the figure of Haman appeared, a descendant of Amalek, an anti-Semite who wanted to annihilate the Jewish people. Thank God for His deliverance!

At another time, in the year 1938 of the modern era, a year before the Nazi invasion in Poland, God raised up Zeev Jabotinsky, a Ukrainian Jewish writer, to warn our people of a great impending danger and the need to return to our land.

In August 1938, Jabotinsky was in Warsaw, delivering a speech on Tisha b’Av, the day set aside to remember the destruction of the ancient Temple in Jerusalem. To the Jews of Poland he presented both a warning and a vision:

“It is for three years that I have been calling on you, Jews of Poland, the glory of world Jewry, with an appeal. I have been ceaselessly warning you that the catastrophe is coming closer. My hair has turned white and I have aged in these years, because my heart is bleeding, for you, dear brothers and sisters, do not see the volcano which will soon begin to spurt out the fire of destruction. I see a terrifying sight. The time is short in which one can still be saved. I know: you do not see, because you are bothered and rushing about with everyday worries … Listen to my remarks at the twelfth hour. For God’s sake: may each one save his life while there is still time. And time is short.

I want to say one more thing to you on this day of the Ninth of Av: Those who will succeed to escape from the catastrophe will merit a moment of great Jewish joy — the rebirth and rise of a Jewish State. I do not know if I will earn that. My son, yes! I believe in this just as I am sure that tomorrow morning the sun will shine once again. I believe in this with total faith.”

Some of our people responded to the word of the prophet, but most did not, and for those there was the sad end we know, the Holocaust.

Similarly today, many are “comfortable” in the diaspora, others have experienced anti-Semitism, or economic bankruptcy and returned.

There are still about 7 million Jews living in the U.S., about the same number of Jews living in Israel.

Let us pray for a great wave of Aliyah in our days. May our people be instructed and awakened before they are “captured by the hunters”:

“Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when it shall no longer be said, ‘As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt,’ but ‘As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the north country and out of all the countries where he had driven them.’ For I will bring them back to their own land that I gave to their fathers.

“Behold, I am sending for many fishers, declares the Lord, and they shall catch them. And afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks.

PURIM AND THE NEW GENERATION

We celebrated Purim in the Presence of Yeshua with the children of our children’s ministry.

On the 14th of Adar this year, at sunset on March 23rd, we celebrated the Feast of Purim.

Pur means luck and a lottery was drawn to designate the day of the Annihilation of our people in the 5th century B.C.E.  in the kingdom of Persia, where it is now called Iran.

As part of the weekly children’s program of the Mevasseret House of Prayer, we were able to read Esther‘s “Meguilah” (Book) together with other families and teach it to our children.

There is a custom on Purim of reading the “megillah” in our homes, synagogues, congregations, and when we read the name of our enemy “Haman,” everyone makes a loud noise about erasing that name. There is even a small instrument that children get in schools called רעשןRashan. Rashan is derived from the word רעשrash, which means noise.

After we read the story to our children, we explained to them that in the same way, today there are enemies who want to annihilate us as a people. One of the children immediately said yes the “Hamas” and immediately one of our children picked up the rashan and played it as a way to erase that name.

Call:

We as part of the Body of Messiah in Israel, like Mordechai today, call upon you, like Esther, to stand before the King of Kings with fasting and intercession, for the people and nation of Israel. The scepter is already stretched out to the Church, the veil has already been torn. Many Jews like Mordechai do not have this access, most Jews have not yet entered into Yeshua’s blood covenant to access the kodesh hakodashim, the holy of holies, but we, the Jews who believe in Yeshua, along with the Church that is grafted into the Olive Tree, can do this together, amen?

Support Us Through Prayers and Donations

Since a partnership involves a commitment to a long-term relationship, consider a monthly donation as well.

We pray that you will be blessed as you invest in what the Lord is doing in Israel through the support of your prayers and donations.

‘For they were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have come to share in their spiritual blessings, they ought also to be of service to them in material blessings. ‘  Romans 15:27
